As a digital marketer, I believe that the number one most important Google ranking factor is user experience. In other words, how well your website satisfies the needs of the user.
Google's primary goal is to provide users with the best possible search experience. If your website offers a great user experience, Google is more likely to reward you with a higher ranking. This includes factors such as page speed, mobile responsiveness, and ease of navigation.
While content and backlinks are also important, they ultimately contribute to the user experience. If your content is high-quality and provides value to the user, they are more likely to stay on your website for longer periods of time. Similarly, if other high-quality websites link back to your website, it signals to Google that your website is a credible and authoritative source of information.
However, all of these factors are pointless if your website provides a poor user experience. If users can't find what they're looking for, or if they have to wait too long for your website to load, they will quickly leave and go to a competitor's website.
So, in my opinion, the number one most important Google ranking factor is user experience. By focusing on providing a great user experience, you'll not only improve your search ranking but also ensure that your website is successful in the long run.
